A hybrid between Pyrus communis and Pyrus pyrifolia. A hard pear, that bears heavy crops of large, pineapple-like flavored fruit good for cooking, canning or fresh eating.
Considered to be a Sand pear.
Fire blight resistant. Better with pollinator. Good pollinators are Hood, Flordahome and Leconte varities. Zones 5-9. Ripens Aug-Sep. Chill hours 150
